March 09 Update

Well here is the update for March I weighed today and I came in at 220 so that is 18 pounds for the month of March and a total of 73 so far! I’ve gotten in 82 days in a row! I’m starting to run more and it feels real good. I’ve got to =get better at journaling/blogging this adventure I know so much is happening that I’m not getting down, but I’m just so crazy busy, but I’m doing this today not tomorrow.

Week 16


I have had a real good week this week working out. I lost two pounds now I’m down to 222 that 71 pounds lost! I thought it would have been more, buy hey I’m not complaining! I’m starting to run more and it feels good. I am hoping to do the Amory railroad 5K in April. We’ll see. 79 days in arrow without missing a walk or run. Eating is still good see the log……doing this today not tomorrow!

Week 15

Well I spent most of this last week in Gatlinburg with Jenny, three other adults and 20 some odd teenagers. Eating was a challenge, because we were the cooks for this trip and teenagers aren’t gonna eat healthy, but I did it I stuck to my eating plan (see the food log). I did eat a turkey taco salad one night and it hurt my stomach. I guess I have gotten unused to eating real spicy food. It was funny one morning I was cooking sausage and normally I would have been doing as much sampling as I was cooking, but I caught myself not even wanting any….weird I know! I did walk everyday had a few challenges in there walk at the mall on one day, spent my free time walking one day and did have to split it up a couple of times. I felt guilty for having to split it up, but hey at least I was doing something! I felt sick on Thursday and just got in one mile. Then on Friday I had to carry the inmates out to pick up trash and I did my walking on the road with them as they picked up trash. I lost 3.5 this week and now I’m down to 224 that 69 pounds! I haven’t missed a day walking/running in 72 days! I’m doing this today not tomorrow.

Week 14


Weighed in at 227.5 today! That’s 65.5 pounds since the first of December. I had a real good week walking and running and also eating. There have been some challenges and one of the big ones is time management, I almost got into a pickle a few times because I didn’t plan well. Sometimes it seems as if I’m leaving folks hanging, but I’m not meaning to this is extremely important to me and it’s a priority so I’m treating it this way. Tomorrow and the next few days are going to be tough to get in my walking/running we are leaving for Gatlinburg with the youth from our church. So it looks like the only way I can get it in tomorrow is to get up around 430. Not sure what I’m going to do, I’ve got to process it for a while. I’ve got 65 days in a row with out missing (came close a couple times) and I don’t want to know. Well I got to turn in if I’m going to get up at 430. Doing this Today not tomorrow!

Week 13




Weighed it at 233 today! Wow that is 60 pounds since the first of December. I feel so much better now. I knew I felt fat and sluggish, but I didn’t realize how bad it was when I was 293. This week was goo don the food sees the food log. It was tough on the exercise I had some long busy days, but I got my walks/runs in and I’m glad I did. Today marks 58 days without missing one. I’m doing this today!

Snow 1 Mar 09







I had a neat walk this morning it snowed! I got up and walked in it, it didn’t last long once the sun came up so it’s good I got up early and walked. I was so neat to be able to enjoy this part of God’s creation that I don’t get to see to often. I ended up walking 5.5 and man it was cold or at least the wind was when it was blowing.
