Well I did it, today I paid my money for the Half Marathon in Florence Al on the 31st of October and for the Full Marathon in Memphis Tn on the 5th of December. So I am officially signed up, Today not Tomorrow.
Hello my Name is Barry. Welcome to my journey of getting my weight under control and getting back into running. What is funny I actually did this before. I started in Dec of 2008 and in 2009 I lost 109 pounds and ran a marathon in December of 2009. I gained all the weight back and actually more. In 2011 I lost 61 pounds but fell off the wagon again. So here I go on 21 August of 2013 giving it another shot weighing in at 300 pounds. I feel like God has told me to lose the weight and that when I do he has a plan to reveal to me, but first I got to lose the weight. As of Feb 21st 2014 I had lost 96 pounds down to 204. As of 8 Sep 2014 I’m at 219. I’ve been running more, but now I’m going to train harder and eat better and I’ve got two goals to reach in Feb of 2015. I’m planning to run a 50K then and I want my weight to be in the 180s when I do it. I’m feeling the need to blog daily about my journey now. Since I started again in August I just didn’t feel like I was supposed to, but now I do, so if you’re checking in on me here’s your chance to see what’s going on in my head and heart as I do this! Doing this today not tomorrow.

1. Stay around 2,000 calories a day. 2. Drink a gallon of water a day. 3. Walk or run each day. 4. Log my calories and runs/walks each day. 5. Core Exercises, pushups and sit ups. 6.
